Olga a Abramova was born in 1976 in Moscow. She graduated from the weaving division of the Moscow College of Applied Art in 1996. During her last year at the College she discovered pastels and developed her own, virtually self-taught technique. In 2000 Olga graduated from the art and graphics division of Moscow State Open Teacher's University with a major in pastel technique. Since 1999 Olga has taken an active part in many personal and group international exhibitions. In 2000 she won the "Cover 2000" contest organized by Artistic Advice magazine. Since 2001 Olga has been a member of the International Art Foundation (IAF), and has written many articles on pastel technique. |
